Starting Your Style Business

by | 25 Aug 2022

Deciding to start any new business is daunting and starting your style business can have its own set of challenges. (However, there are numerous rewards too!)

I have trained, mentored and supported 100s of aspiring stylists, just like you, over the past 30 years. They have gained the freedom and confidence to start their own successful ventures. Each one of these Stylists is unique, with their own personal style, area of expertise and client base.

I love finding out about them, their ideas and plans. And it is certainly one of the perks of my job to see how my graduates develop and soar. Some have created specialist niches, new ethical initiatives and a huge Instagram following. Others have become bloggers, written books and created online programmes.

However, many more work quietly with their clients, supporting them, building their confidence and helping them to feel better about the way that they look. This is an amazing and powerful gift to be able to give anyone.

What could stop you?

You may think that there are too many potential obstacles to start your style business. I can assure you, you are not alone because I often get asked the following questions (or something similar!)

  • Will I be able to find clients?
  • Will it work in my area?
  • Am I too old?
  • Do I have to be online everywhere as I’m a bit of a technophobe?
  • Do I have to be super trendy?
  • Will it work around my family &/or current 9 – 5 job?

To answer these questions and more, I recently recorded an online masterclass.
